Trash Fashion – 16th and 17th June 2023
Updated categories for 2023
Innovative Waste Kaikoura has offered to continue to sponsor us, and we are hoping that things will be more normal again and that we can all relax and put together a fantastic show.
The categories for the 2023 Show are listed on the entry page.
The categories for the show have been slightly revised to make it easier for everyone, with only a few minor changes as follows:
- • We have combined the Teens Art and the Novice Category with the theme: “The Magic Cloak”
- • The Mystery Box: Anything Goes – was previously limited to “From the Waist Up.” It is now a separate category to make whatever costume you design using the materials provided in the box. You can use as much or as little of the items in the box to create your masterpiece, and it can still be from the waist up or a full costume, whichever you prefer, but you can only use the items from the box for your costume.
(Mystery Box available from Loraine Diver at 027 815 2174)
- The Evening Category will remain as “Brides Revisited”, however we have removed the restriction that 50% of the costume was to be made from greaseproof paper. You can now use any recycled materials that you choose.
We still have several of cases of greaseproof paper left from the 2016 Earthquake, and if you would like to get a number of rolls or even a case or two to use in your costume, please contact Nancy McPherson at 027 666 5658.
